Purcell family Castlerahan

Hi, My gt gt grandad Bartholomew Purcell b 1836 in Castlerahan, married a Mary MacCabe abt 1852. I don't know who Mary Maccabe parent's were. Bartholomew's were Thomas Purcell and Mary Macdonald both born around 1785.
Bartholomew and Mary moved to Widnes, Lancs in the mid 1870's and had the following children, John, James, William, Thomas, Peter, Samuel, Bartholomew and a girl Mary Ann, between the years 1853 to 1869, the address on some of the baptism certs for these children is Sessiagh, Carrigallen R.C. Church of Carrigallen. If anyone has any further info it is very much appreciated.  Thanks Pauline

Hi, Bartholomew was my gt gt gt grandfather. his son John (my gt gt g) and his son John (my Gt G) all continued to live in Widness,  his son Jim my Grandfather (died in Italy in WW2). His only daughter Pamela is my mother. If you're registered with Genes Reunited, I can share my family tree. Also let me know if you have any other info about Bartholomew and his family. Until I found your post I hadn't known his parents names, his wife's maiden name, or where in Ireland the family had come from.

Hi Steve,  So pleased you have contacted me, my great grandad was Thomas Purcell who married Margaret Martin, they married at St Marie's R.C. Church, Widnes and my grandmother was Catherine Purcell the youngest child born in 1903.  I'm not presently on Genes Reunited but could sort that out.  I've got a tree on Ancestry and I can sort out with you to view it or if you want to send me your e mail in a private message I can send you the baptism certs.  So your relative John and my Thomas would have been brothers.  Thanks again  Pauline
