Ivy Power birth India - Look up

Good morning

I'm trying to trace the birth of  Ivy Ellen Power believed born in India  c. 1916 in Rawlpindi.  Her parents:

William and Ellen (maiden name not known).  William worked for British Farms Commission.

Later in her life Ivy married in 1936, indicating that she was in India for some time:

Have you tried the Families in British India Society?

Try the FIBIS Database and search from there.

There are quite a few Indian records on Familysearch.

There is a marriage of a William POWER, son of John POWER, to Ellen Florence BANKS, daughter of Ira Alfred BANKS, at Rawalpindi on 6 Feb 1915, which could well be the parents William and Ellen.

Baptism for Ellen Florence BANKS in Madras as well.

I think they are probably Ivy s parents too, though can t find her or possible sisters  births anywhere.

I suppose my next problem is trying to work out where these families originated from back in Blighty so I can pick up the trail.  Any bright spark got any ideas?
