Annie Maxwell Mclachlan
« on: Tuesday 10 May 11 23:25 BST (UK) »
Hi,
I'm looking for info on Annie Maxwell Mclachlan who was born in 1891 in Glasgow and
her parents were John McLachlan and Marion Bauchop.
Annie married Robert Scott in 1913 in Glasgow but i'm looking for any info on them after their
marriage.

Annie & Robert possibly emigrated to the USA but i have been unable to find them on any passenger lists etc.
Annies husband Robert was born in Spain in 1879 but i don't think they went back to live there as his father died when he was young and his mother brought the family back to live in Greenock in the 1880's.
With Robert having quite an unusual birthplace in those days i thought i would be able to find info on them but have so far been unable to do so

I know you guys out there love to solve mysteries and i'm sure you will come up trumps for me again
in my quest for elusive ancestors.

Thanks in anticipation

Hi again,
I'm still hoping someone can help me with this albeit it's only a week since my
original post.
I've still not found a connection to Annie & Robert Scott emigrating to America.
I now think this may just be one of those family stories that was mixed up somewhere along the way
and they may not have gone to the USA or Canada at all.
I'm hopefully someone can find another link somewhere for me.
I've checked SP for deaths of them both using their birth years but can't find
anything.

Ever hopeful one of you clever folk will be able to find them for me somewhere.

Hi Sancti,
Thanks for that.
On Annie & Roberts marriage cert in 1913 his occupation was now a
motor engineer manager which would make sense emigrating to America
at that time.
Another possibilty is they emigrated to NZ
but i don't know what records are available online.

Thanks again

What was his occupation on 1911 census?

What was the exact date of his marriage?

Hi Sancti,
His occupation on the 1911 census was a manager-motor engineer.
The marriage date was 22 May 1913 in Glasgow.
Sorry, on his marriage cert. in 1913 it says mechanical engineer but
maybe that could be the same as motor engineer?

Thanks
