Help with placenames

Hi could someone please help me  :)

I am trying to work out where a Beddenwood ?? may have been in Dumfries possibly in Kirkmahoe area and also second area cannot even guess so have attached snapshot.

Looking for information on John Brown who married Margaret Douglas, Margaret was from Wanlockhead which was easy to work out and John appears to be from Beddenwood. This was in 1756.  I carried out a search on SP and only found one John Brown born in Kirkmahoe in 1721 born to John Brown in  ??? - They appear to have had a son William in 1758 in Kirkmahoe so will now try and see what info is on baptism record.

I think they may then have moved to Yester as a John Brown and Margaret Douglas had six children which date wise appear to fit although that would mean a six year gap between first and second child so maybe not, but cannot find any other records of marriage and these are only baptisms registered to these names..

Anyway, any help would be gratefully received.

Could it be Riddingwood? This is near Duncow in Kirkmahoe Parish.

It couldn't be something like 'Buridge' could it?

Apologies,

I realise this is quite belated but many thanks for your help. Think Riddingwood looks good but will have to go back and look at his again as some months old.. ::)
