Hi,
I did a bit of a look-up and found a remarkable coincidence. I have a John Baron Lemon born 10 Apr 1866 to John Lemon and Mary Barron (sic) in Belfast No.3.
I also found that John Lemon married Mary Barron on 10 Mar 1861 in St Anne's, Shankill, Belfast

thankyou for your message, I am very new to this and getting help from a work collegue who I will pass this info onto.  I am wondering could this be a brother of Robert Lemon born 1845 and died 1908,my great grandfather. You gave john b Lemon born 1866,and married 1861 - is this  date of marriage mistyped.  Any help would be appreciated.  I know robert and his wife Eliza heron b. 1845 had three other sons George b.1875,robert b.1876,William b.1880.and John barron 1883.  I know nothing about the brothers and sisters of robert Lemon and Eliza  nee Heron his wife.......Maybe you can help once again thanks

Thanks Aghadowey. Siblings of John Baron Lemon were
William Thomas Lemon b 17 Jul 1868
Sarah Elizabeth Lemon b 9 Nov 1873
Alexander B 29 Oct 1879.

I also found a Robert James Lemon who married Esther Heron on 29 Oct 1909 in Comber Non -Subscribing Presbyterian Church, Newtownards.

I used the term"Coincidence" as the names Lemon and to a lesser extent Heron are fairly unusual in N.Ireland.

I have looked in more detail with reference to JOHN BARON lEMON  and married to a MaryBaron - could this be the brother of my Great grandfather ROBERT hence the name baron being brought in to the family name.  Do you have a date for the death of JOHN BARON LEMON BORN IN 1866. Are you related to the john B Lemon family.  Thankyou for all your help. Being such unusal surnames makes me thinks these are all connected

Hi,
There is still some confusion. The names I found were John Lemon who married Mary Barron. John is not recorded as having a second name "Baron". Their son, also John was given the name "Baron" as was a common Irish custom possibly to please the Grandmother.

I have no connection with this family. I do this as a hobby as do many others, some of whom have helped me with my family tree.

Hi everyone
I have Lemon's in my family tree and I was wondering if there was a relationship with the people in this thread.

My G. Grandmother was Sarah Ann Lemon (c1864) married a William Thompson (07/06/1881) at Trinity C of I church. I also believe there was an Agnes Street connection with her family.  Her father was called William. The only baffling thing I have about her is that in the 1911 census she has that she was born in Co. Donegal but I have not found out any other family connection with that County.

Hopefully the 1901 census, when it comes out, might hold some information on her father and/or mother  (if they were still alive; they weren't in the 1911 one)
