Hey Lesanne - we can't rule anything out!

I think Duckcharm's mother holds the key to this: Shropshire or Cumbria.

There's something painfully familiar about this view (but I bet we're all of us thining the same by now; by next week we'll all have convinced ourselves that we went to a wedding there!)

;D   Yep, Dig out all those old photies, I bet someone has this place.

Wouldn't be suprised if those folks aren't waiting for something at the church...

                 And the tale continues...

Lesanne, the windmill is X marks the spot i.e. the house the person who sent the photo was staying in (I think).

Paul, you're right !  It was 1966 and I wore a pale blue frock and jacket with matching shoes and bag.  :D

X marks the spot

This has to be the worst Spot the Ball competition I've ever seen!

Su - you were there TOO!  Wasn't the vicar awful? :)

(NOW, LETS GET BACK TO THE SERIOUS BUSINESS OF IDENTIFYING THIS CHARMING ENGLISH ROAD JUNCTION...)

Lesanne's right ... thought it might either be another church or maybe something like a pub.

Duckcharm - why not post us a list of the towns and villages your Cumbrian / Shropshire rellies lived in?

:) I don't know if they have windmills up there as we do in Sussex.  :-\

It could be the old type of police radio mast, so there could an area station there.  :)

I've only been to the Lake Dist. and most of those buildings are the local stone.  :(

Never done Shropshire.  If I knew how to print this piccy off I could show an old

customer that comes down from Cumbria every now and then. But he's not long gone

back to Cumbria.  :-X  and that would be cheating.......

We'd forgive you! :)

I've posted a couple of messages on the Cumbria and Shropshire pages appealing for help.  Fingers crossed!
