Hey Lesanne - we can't rule anything out!

I think Duckcharm's mother holds the key to this: Shropshire or Cumbria.

There's something painfully familiar about this view (but I bet we're all of us thining the same by now; by next week we'll all have convinced ourselves that we went to a wedding there!)

           Wouldn't be suprised if those folks aren't waiting for something at the church...

Lesanne, the windmill is X marks the spot i.e. the house the person who sent the photo was staying in (I think).

Paul, you're right !  It was 1966 and I wore a pale blue frock and jacket with matching shoes and bag.

Duckcharm - why not post us a list of the towns and villages your Cumbrian / Shropshire rellies lived in?

  I don't know if they have windmills up there as we do in Sussex. 

     It could be the old type of police radio mast, so there could an area station there. 

     I've only been to the Lake Dist. and most of those buildings are the local stone. 

     Never done Shropshire.  If I knew how to print this piccy off I could show an old

     customer that comes down from Cumbria every now and then. But he's not long gone

     back to Cumbria.    and that would be cheating.......
