Hi to you all,

This was a great thread to read and it got me thinking about what sort of people we (amateur genealogists) are and what makes us tick. Seems to me that the process of working out the location is the same as working out an unknown link in the family - use everything you've got, throw nothing away etc.

So, I then started wondering what sort of jobs we people do (or always wanted to do). When I was in my teens I wanted to be a pathologist/forensic scientist. When reality hit I went into electronics, then fixing TV's, videos etc. And now I write software for control systems. (Well, I can see the similarities anyway!)

What do you lot do then?
