looking for more info on descendants of the Darney and Madden families of Aberdare South Wales I know John Darney m Frances Madden (1859 treforest) and from 1861 census Thomas Madden Shoemaker wife Mary b Ireland  lived in Aberdare
1871 census Mary now widowed is living in Bedwellty Ebbw Vale with daughter mary Ann
My main interest is in a Margaret Madden b Aberdare 1866 is she from any of this family ?

We, too, are researching this Darney family.  John Darney married Frances Madden > Thomas Darney (b. 1860 Aberdare, Glamorgan) > Mary Elizabeth Amever Darney (b. 1888, Plymouth, Mass., USA).  Is there any record of John Darney's death in Wales?

My name is John Edward Darney. I am 72 and live in FL, USA. My great grandfather was Thomas Darney and his father was John Darney and his mother was Mary Madden. My grandfather was William Patrick Darney. born 1894 and Brockton, Mass., USA. His father was Thomas, mother was Mary Dalton. Thomas' parents were John Darney, mother Mary Madden. Thomas was born in Wales.
