Looking for William ALLEN and his parents

Looking for birth information on William Allen (no other names that I can find) and any information on his parents.

William Allen married to Patience Johanna (Joanna) White on 29 Sept 1845.  Marriage Certificate shows Father of William Allen to be John Allen.  Married at the registry Office in Exeter.

1851 census both had already moved to Lambeth, London.

Patience Johanna baptized at St. Sidwells

What age does William put on his marriage cert, and what is the occuption of his father John.

The marriage certificate just has the age of both William Allen & Patience as "full age".  I have his birth around 1821.
His father's occupation is "Gentlemen" as best I can read it.

Hi looking at that wedding certificate, I noticed one of the witnesses was a Louisa Allen, so what do you think of this possible 1841:-

Sarah Allen 45 occ Fur M??
John 20
Mary 20
William 15 occ Tailors Apprentice
Louisa 15
James 10
Residing at Kerrians Place, St Kerrian, Exeter, Devon.

Maybe someone can view the original for Sarah and John and work out their occupations?

Looks like you have the correct census entry - address is same as marriage certificate. What is the significance of 37 written by the registrar to the right of the cert?
From Exeter St. Paul baptisms:
23 Jun 1825 Louisa dau of John & Sally, father a servant of Paul Street
9 Nov 1828 James don of John & Sally, father a labourer of Paul Street

John ALLEN married Sarah SANDERS 4 Oct 1810 Exeter St David

By 1851, Louisa has married Thomas ENDICOTT and she is shown living alone in All Hallows on the Walls, Exeter, aged 25, Married born Exeter, occupation: Furrier.
Also in 1851, and 1861, Sarah ALLEN born Teignmouth 1785 is shown lodging with an Ann TUCKETT. Two Sarah SANDERS were baptised at West Teignmouth in 1785 - check IGI.

I'm a newbie at this - can I ask a follow up question?

The 1841 census shows the Mother, Sarah Allen and her children...John, Mary...  What would be the reasons the father, John Allen is not mentioned?  I assume he could have died before 1841 but would he still be on the marriage certificate? didn't try and find his death date as yet.

John may have already died - it was still correct to give the father's name on a marriage certificate - sometimes the word 'deceased' would be included, sometimes not. The fact that John's occupation was given as 'gentleman' when his children's baptisms indicate otherwise, may be a clue that he had already died.
