Anna Kilcrane and Patrick O'Sullivan

  I was wondering if anybody can find a marriage for Anna Grace Kilcrane b 1840 or1850
and Patrick O'Sullivan/sullivan b 1841
Parent/s    Grace Kilcrane ms Flynn  Michael Kilcrane
                 John O'Sullivan /Sullivan      ? Kelly
I am trying to help a lady in America but not getting anything at all
any info is most appreciated

If it was a Catholic marriage and before 1864 then you would need to check for a parish record, and you would need to know where in Ireland this was to try to trace the marriage.

Have you checked to see if there are any details in US records of where in Ireland Anna and Patrick originated ?

Hi

I was waiting on more information for this couple,
this is what the lady has sent me.
Patrick James O'Sullivan arrived in New York sept 1858 on Robert Kelly shipping list she said he must
have went through Barge Office Manhattan    Anna arrived in 1862 but she can't find what ship she came in
  Anna died on 5th Feb 1932 both Anna and Patrick are buried in Holy Cross Cemetery
it was also a Catholic marriage but dont know where in Ireland

To find the marriage without knowing the parish is going to be very difficult... or require a bit of luck.

If they married in Co. Kerry, South West Co. Cork (or the west of Cork city), or Dublin city then you might find them on www.irishgenealogy.ie (further RC records for Dublin city are due to be added to this site later in the year) Sullivan/O'Sullivan is a common Cork/Kerry name, so it's possible that Patrick came from that area.

RC Parish records for some other parts of Ireland are available on the pay-website of the Irish Family History Foundation as www.rootsireland.ie 

There are a few counties and areas not currently covered by either website.

It's worth following up on Anna and Patrick in US records to see if there are any clues there as to where they came from.. see the link mentioned earlier ..

Kilcrane is a very unusual name so I looked in the 1901 census and there are www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Leitrim/Moher/Drumad__Moran_/1484000

Michael Kilcran would be the right age to be a brother of Anna.

There is 1 Kilcrane  also in Leitrim

has some Kilcran/Kilcrane's the majority of whom are from Leitrim with the next largest number being from Roscommon

Normally spelt Kilraine Kilrain or even Gilrain and Gilraine and a search will show a propensity towards Leitrim Roscommon. Could be the rest of the clan called themselves something else.
