Hello ladym,
As RK says, the London Free Press is the main local newspaper and you may want to contact them or the public library who has archived the Free Press for local notices and announcements in the paper. You may want to try some of the surround town newspapers as well such as Strathroy, Lucan, and St Thomas although they are in surrounding counties. The public library does have the city directories there as well. I believe one of the librarians there deals with genealogy, so I would ask for this person. I believe the info you are looking for would be at the central branch.
The Weldon Library archive at the University of Western Ontario may have info there as well. The university has 3 church based colleges (United, Anglican and anorther which I don't recall at the moment) on campus each with thier own libraries you may want to query as well.
I found the marriage reg for Beatrice Ann Salkeld. This is the info I found:
Birth Place: Dorset England, Age: 21, Estimated Birth Year: abt 1903
Parent's Names: Thomas Salkeld & Sarah Davis
Spouse Name: Frank Bolton, Age: 34, Birth Place: Brownsville Ont
Parent's Names: James Bolton & Hannah Robinson
Marriage Date: 1 Feb 1924 & Location: Middlesex Co
Registration district: Middlesex, Archives of Ontario Microfilm: MS932_683
I found a family tree on ancestry for Frank Bolton, bn in 1888, and living in Dereham, Norfolk, Ontario (near London). His parents are James Bolton and Hanna Matilda Robinson which ia good match to the marriage info. .There is not any wife shown for Frank in the tree, but your Beatrice fits the timing and location :-)
Hope this helps,
JDC
