Apologies for not replying to you sooner.
I have checked my extensive Index of the Billington family, although I have numerous with the name of George, unfortunately, I don't have a George Billington married to a Marjory Platt.
Do you have a copy of the marriage certificate of George and Marjory, which should tell you the name of George's father and his address at the time of marriage.
Happy to check my Index again if you have any further information on George.
I do have an Arthur Billington married to a Florence May Platt.
