Hi there,

Trevor, do you have the link for the passenger list where you found the William arriving on the Empress of France? I can't seem to find it.

Karen
Gandley (but known as Stanley in Canada)- Ireland to Birmingham
Ball, Kempson & Franklin - Birmingham
Shorter - Surrey
Dyer - Devon
Dawkins - Co. Cork, Ireland
Heffernan - Ireland
Huck - Alsace, France
Reinhart - Baden, Germany
Bowman & Ellis - England
Etheridge - Gloucestershire

Who all came to Canada in a little row boat, clap clap, clap your hands!!

There is a William "G." Potter in this 1932 directory listing http://peel.library.ualberta.ca/bibliography/921.53/130.html The next available one online is 1946 and he's not in there. We'll wait and see what happens with the U.S. connection, as he may have headed there... J.J.
