Hi Tanya,

Thanks for the message.

I am not directly related to the Bishendens but my great grandmother was Harriett Startup nee Coulter  and her brother George Henry Coulter b.1873 , . died 1937 Boughton was married to Harriet Bishenden b.1871 Boughton died 1942 Boughton, her parents were Issac b.1839 died 1898 Boughton and Ann (unknown) b. 1841 Boughton died 1909 Boughton .

My gt.gt. Grandmother was Ellen Coulter died 1907 Boughton, she raised my grandad as his mother died young.

George Henry and Harriet were living at The Green Boughton in the 1911 census.

I am hoping that they are still going ahead with the new Family History Centre in Kent then I will come to Kent and stay for a week as a lot of my ancestors were born in and around East Farleigh , Loose and Boughton .
If any of the people I have mentioned are in the Boughton churchyard I would love to hear from you .

Petles

Hi there,
Good news the Bishenden graves of Issac and Ann Kezia are at Boughton church they are my Great Great Grandparents, I am up at the church next week so i will have a look to see if i can find any Coulter graves and send you details.

I dont know anything about the Kent history that is planned but only moved here a year ago so i will find out. If these is anything i can help you with then let me know.
There are 8 family graves at boughton for Bishenden.

Hi Tanya,

I have Isaac and Ann Kezia on my tree , how lucky to be able to locate all those family graves , that is great.

I have been to the records office in Maidstone but it is rather small and I did read they were planning to build a new one with a library and I am hoping that it will still go ahead with all the cuts now. It would be lovely to have a bigger one that is why I have put of going again , with my fingers crossed , then as I said I could come to Kent and stay there so that I would get time to go round the places where my grandads family came from and do some archives searching at the same time.

Fingers crossed for any Coulter graves and thanks very much for taking the time to look for me, I really do appreciate it.
Petles

Hi there,
a little more info for you, the Coulter family are quite well recorded by the 'Loose History Soc' you can find this on line. a lovely man named paul runs it and produces Loose and Linton pictorial history and Loose Threads mags, and i have found quite a few references and photos of the Coulter family.

good luck
