Blitz victims in Hull
« on: Friday 06 May 11 16:17 BST (UK) »
Hello

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this message, apologies if it's not, but the Hull Daily Mail dated 06/05/2011 has published a list of all those who died during the blitz on the city. It shows the persons name, age, date of death and address. .If it's of any help to any one I'd be glad to forward any details to those who can't get hold of a copy.

Hello there,

I've looked through the list as published but there are no mentions of the names at the bottom of your message which I assume are the ones your are intrested in. if they're not please let me know an I'll check the list again for you. there are one or two exhibitions in Hull at the moment which commemorate the blitz and it's victims which may be of intrest to you if you live close enough to Hull to get there. once again if there is anything i can look at for you please let me know.

There is a published list of all the casualties of the Blitz in Britain. I'm sure there will be a reference somewhere in Rootschat on how to get access to it.

Graham.

All the Commonwealth civilian casualties of WW2 are commemorated on the the CWGC website as Civilian War Dead. It's just a matter of either entering the name of the person being researched or bringing up the full list provided to the CWGC by Kingston-Upon-Hull County Borough.

This is a good site:
http://www.hullwebs.co.uk/content/l-20c/conflict/ww2/bombs/bombs-info.htm

Use the dark blue tabs across the top to explore each year, then follow links for the number of dead each raid to see the nammes of people killed on that night.
