Hi Does anyone know what newspaper was around in whitehaven in 1965 and how I can get details (hopefully online) of any accidents or death notices? My grandfather James McGarry died after falling down the stairs in 1965 (not sure what month) and I was hoping that it might have been reported on. He was fairley young (think 47). Cass

The  Whitehaven News and West Cumberland times were both being published during this period.
