Hi Kat,

You may have more luck if you post this on the Warwickshire Board.  I am sure one of the Mods will move this message for you.

is this your John Thomas h

??

Birth reg
John Thomas H Stringer
Mar qtr 1903 Meridan district

Marriage reg
John Thomas H Stringer
Ellen Holmes
Jun qtr 1940 Alcester

Death reg
John Thomas H Stringer
born 20 Jan 1903
death reg Dec qtr 1975
Alcester
31 0013

Marriage and death certs would give address and occupation

Remember it is the registration district given in BMD's -not the actual town/village where the event took place

Was John Thomas H the son of Joseph Henry Stringer and Charlotte Annie??

If so it seems he was b Bickenhill Hampton in Arden ( which comes within Meridan reg district)

If you purchase his marriage and death certs that will give you addresses and occupation - once you have those you can look in electoral rolls , maybe his place of work records - local newspapers should give some information - marriage /funeral report - often these can give lots of useful information about their lives.

Remember they may not have lived in Alcester - but one of the towns /villages in that registration district
