In 1851 she is a servant ( laundress) working in St Neots, Huntingdonshire. Head of the house is Octavious Duncombe, son of a peer, Member of Parliament and a magistrate, his wife and 5 children. They have 17 servants.

The 1916 Death index NSW Australia, for Ann WARRY in Mudgee district, lists her parents as Benjamin & Maria.
http://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/familyHistory/searchHistoricalRecords.htm

This looks like her  parents 1841/1851 - but Ann not with them :

1841: Water Lane, Chesham, Buckinghamshire
HO107 / Piece 47 / Book: 2 / Folio: 5/ Pg 4
Benjamin HORWOOD 36, Tailor
Maria HORWOOD  37
Henry HORWOOD  14
Joseph HORWOOD 7
William HORWOOD  5
Charles HORWOOD 3
Thomas HORWOOD 1

1851: Chesham, Buckinghamshire
HO107 / Piece: 1717 / Folio: 102 / Pg 27
Head: Benjamin HORWOOD 46, Tailor, b Chesham, Bucks
Wife: Maria HORWOOD 47, b Chesham, Bucks
Son: Joseph HORWOOD 17, unm, At home, b London Mdx
Son: William HORWOOD 15, At home, b Chesham, Bucks
Son: Charles F. HORWOOD 13, Errand boy, b Chesham, Bucks
Son: Thomas HORWOOD 11, Scholar, b Chesham, Bucks
Dau: Elizabeth HORWOOD 8, at home, b Chesham, Bucks
Dau: Emily HORWOOD 4, b Chesham, Bucks
Dau: Ellen M HORWOOD 1, b Chesham, Bucks

Search Labs:
https://labs.familysearch.org/
Have a Benjamin HORWOOD ch 10 Mar 1805, Chesham - parents: Henry HORWOOD & Hannah.

My guess is Ann is at Grandad Henry HORWOODs in 1841.

Cheers

Hi Jan
 ;D That's what I thought too - I can't see her in 1861 either...

By 1861, her father has taken a step-up, and has a new wife:

Dau: Emily HORWOOD 15, unm, Silk Winder, b Chesham
Dau: Ellen HORWOOD 13, Silk Winder, b Chesham
Dau-in-law: Sarah HARRIS 22, unm, Needlewoman, b West Wycombe, Bucks
Son-in-law: Henry HARRIS 15, Silk Winder, b West Wycombe, Bucks

MARRIAGE: Jun Qtr 1855, Cookham, 2c, pg 597
On same page: Benjamin HORWOOD & Elizabeth HARRIS

Cheers

Anne married Francis Warry in 1853 in Somerset.
She was Francis' second wife and 2 years later they migrated to Australia aboard the "Kate" arriving in December 1855 with 4 children from the first marriage and 2 of their own.
Francis died in 1866 leaving Anne widowed at 42 with 6 young children.
She remained in Hargraves NSW and is buried with Francis in the Hargraves General Cemetery.
She is listed as an innkeeper in 1872 (Francis had his publican's license in 1860 for the Louisa Hotel, Meroo Creek) however in later years she is listed in Post Office directories as a baker.
Anne is my great great grandmother (I am a descendant of Richard Henry Warry).

Hi GrannyPG

I live in Sydney and have been researching on and off for a few years now.
My grandmother was Ruby Warry and I am guessing that you are descended from Reginald as you have Hocking as one of your surname interests?
Would love to swap information with you - pm me if you are interested.

Best regards,
Jenny
