Brother and sister
« on: Monday 02 May 11 00:09 BST (UK) »
Hi

Can someone give me some advice please.  I am trying to trace any information on a brother John and sister Tabitha. Both my parents passed away many years ago and my other siblings also. I was always told by my sister and brother (now deceased) that I had a further 2 sisters and 1 brother. I have traced a sister called Sandra Tabitha who was born in March 1947 and died in April 1947. My other siblings were born between 1939 and 1945 and that they lived for a few months only. I have no one else to ask if this is true. Can anyone suggested anything.

Many thanks

Hi
What was your mothers maiden name? When you look up Freebmd.org.uk you can enter your surname and then  enter mothers maiden name, and if you know the area as well. Its a start so try it or give us the details and I am sure one of the rootchaters will look for you
cheers cardiff :)

Hi Cardiff

Thanks very much for coming back to me. My mothers maiden name was Elizabeth Ann Doreen Wood born 1916 in the district of Pontypridd and all children were born in the Pontypridd area. The date ranges between my eldest Brother Ray Born in 1938, my sister Sandra born 1947 and died the same year. Sister Marylyn born 1949 and myself born 1957. I new from Marylyn that there were other children, but my parents never discussed this very much. My fathers name was Arthur Vernon Webb born 1916 also in Pontypridd. I have tried various sites but still drew a blank. If anyone can help and
would be very grateful.

Hi
I have looked on Glyn taff cemetery I see your parents burial ( I have no access to creamations), whats interesting no burials for  the 3 mentioned by ambers, I think you need to contact Glyn Taff cemetery to ask about  the three mention first to see if they where creamated, there is a possibility that the other you talk of where also creamated, you know the year  and their parents do you know where they where living that info would be there also.  I looked at Freebmd and looked at deaths for Pontypridd, athought was your parent both from pontypridd you often see family go home to parents or inlaws  two have the babies but there are a few poss, or could she have been visiting family and the children died there.
There is also a possibility that if they where buried or creamated they are buried with your parents that would need checking out. My great grand mother was buried with tw0 of her children babies, but I only discovered that by speaking to the cemetery who told me  I was amazed.
Try this route and let us know what you find out.
cheers cardiff :) ???

Hi Cardiff

I never thought of contact Glyntaff crematorium thanks for that. There was mention many years ago that sometimes when children died when they were young that they were buried with other people don't know if this was true. Both my parents were born in Pontypridd and I know that Ray, Marylyn and myself were born at East glamorgan. Maybe if I contact the crematorium they may through some light on this.

Many thanks for your help again

Hi
I have looked at BMD and there are no births registered other than what has been mentioned, If the children died within weeks could their death only be registered and no mothers name would be be on the reg. So lets hope Glyntaff have an answer for you
Good luck
cheers cardiff ;)
