John Mcfarlane of Motherwell

Looking for information on a John McFarlane from Motherwell.  John married a Hannah Armstrong in Glasgow in 1917.  Hannah was my grandmother.  Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Go to www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk and download an image of the marriage certificate. This will tell you the couple's ages at marriage, and the full names of their parents. This in turn will lead you to their birth certificates and so on back to 1855.

Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.
