Hi well if the Essex Times are at the Colchester Library I can get there on Tuesday myself,I am always amazed that even in this computer age when I telephoned Chelmsford library  to find out if they had the Times and if not who did,it returned nothing ,but it now seems they have the copies at Colchester as well as Colindale I had no idea the search had already been put on here I was contacted from another site in which I help people by doing look ups and as always if the search seems to be slowing down I put it on here knowing that you lot will point the way.

Best Regards

I know  what you mean ,but given the number of posts on this subject I think you have to accept there is such a thing,if you use goggle and put Essex Times you get nothing,it was the first thing I did, having checked the ERO and Chelmsford library which has the Essex Chronicle from when rocks were soft,I begain to doubt if there was such a thing, but the British Library at it's newspaper collection at Collingdale has them you can go there or they will send you the article you want for a fee,but at the last gasp it seems that Colchester library has them,I will see on Tuesday,if nothing else it will mean there is another newspaper that we can look at as well as the Chronicle which lets face it is mostly adverts, maybe a little harsh  ,but it sure is difficult to find anything.

Having just searched on Google there was an Essex Times.

If you Google this you can see..........."The Essex Times"

It seems that it was for southwest Essex only.

There is also on Seax the burial register for Barking and Geaoge Warner is listed in the burials.
Buried in the cemetery.

THis site might be of help Linda...........Books and E Books in the list could have your info.

Hi Cobb   the barking site is a good one I have saved it ,I always seem to get look ups for barking so it will come in handy, you must be better than me at goggle as all I get is a modern publication of Essex Times the old one stopped publication in 1937,the original post was that the article in the 1891 Essex Times about the coroners report was what was wanted the poster already knows the date of death where he died ,where he lived in Barking, the burial would have been in a paupers grave and there will be no headstone as he died from drink and there were no other relatives except his young son who went into care,I will go to Colchester and see if they have copies of the Essex Times on Tuesday,if not then the only place is Collingdale who do have it for sure but it will cost the poster to obtain it

Best Regards

Hi again
I would think there would be an article in an essex paper available at the library You can check the listings for the year you want and see whats available
I knowas I worked for the Essex county Newspapers for 22 years that they have a title called the Chelmsford weekly News  whether this followed on from the Essex News I dont know The chronicle used to cover mostly suffolk rather than essex  But as I say ther are titles in the library for the year that you want so Be Lucky!!

There is George Warner age 52 buried in Rippleside Cemetery Barking on 27th February 1891, Grave Reference R/S /D / 1662.

There are 3 later [much later] unrelated burials in the same plot.
