Crane Family Montreal
« on: Wednesday 27 April 11 21:22 BST (UK) »

Searching for any family still remaining in Montreal, decended from Frank Crane married to Maryrose Kelly.  This couple died in 1947 and were buried by a Daughter named Lorraine.  This is all the information that I have/ Maryrose Kelly was born in Derry City (Ireland) the daughter of Charles Kelly and Sarah Anderson.

Any help or interest would be very much appreciated.

Barbara (Ireland)

Lorraine Sibina/Silina was born in 1938 according to her parish record...she was only 9 when her parents died? No burial details in the parish records on Ancestry. No siblings found.

Not much help, I know, but it may be a starting point.

Cheers,

If you look on-line you will find all of Lovell's Montreal Directories from the 1840s onwards. I used it to trace two families who settled there from Scotland in 1907. Year by year you could trace their movements about the city and gradually their children appeared as they started work. It was almost like an annual census. It won't likely be of any help in contacting the family now, but, if you haven't seen it, it will help fill in a few blanks.

Graham.
