I'm working on it.  Actually, this one is modern enough that there is no real "translation," only transcription.  Problem is that the first doc with the formal script is the fuzziest one so far, and my eyes were only up to a few lines tonight.  More tomorrow.

 Know all men by these Presents that Hr Betty Cresdee
of West Mordon in the county of dorset Widow James
Watt of Kensington Nursery in the parish of Kensington
in the county of Middlesex Nursery man and Samuel Lefler of Blanford in the said county
of Dorset Silversmith
are held and firmly bound unto the Venerable Robert Bentley
Buckle clerk Archdeacon of the Archdeaconry of Dorset
lawfully constituted
in the sum of Three Thousand Pounds
of good and lawful Money of Great Britain to be paid unto the said Robert
Bently Buckle or to his certain Attorney his Executors Adminis
trators or Assigns to which payment well and truly to be made We oblige ourselves
and each and every of us by herself and himself for the whole our and
each and every of our Heirs and Executors and Administrators firmly by
these presents, sealed with our hands dated the Twenty second day of
January in the First year of the Reign of our sove-
reign Lady Victoria by the Grace of God of the United
Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland Queen Defender of the faith England
in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty
eight
The Condition of this Obligation is such that if the above bounden
Betty Cresdee the Administratrix of all and singular the Goods
Chattles and Credits of Charles Kaxtone Cresdee late of West Morden aforesaid deceased do
make or cause to be made a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the Goods
Chattles and Credits of the said deceased which have or shall come to the Hands
Possession or Knowledge of her the said Betty Cresdee
or into the Hands and Possession of any Person or Persons for
her and the same so made do exhibit or cause to be exhibited into the Registry
of the court of the archdeacon of Dorset at or before the
twenty second day of July next ensuing and the same Goods
Chattles and credits and all other the Goods Chattles and credits of the said deceased
at the time of his death which at any time after shall come to the hands and possession
of the said Betty Cresdee or into the hands
and Possession of any other Person or Persons for her do well and truly administer
according to Law and further do make or cause to be made a true and just Attempt
of her said administration at or before the 22nd day of January 1839
and all the rest and Residue of the said Goods Chattles and Credits which shall
be found remaining afore the administrater be brought the same being first
examined and allowed of by the judge or judges for the time being of the said
bond shall deliver and pay unto such person or persons respectively as the said
Judge or Judges by his or their decree or sentence pursuant to the true intent and
Meaning of a certain act of Parliament made in the around twentieth and three and
twentieth years of the Reign of our late Sovereign Lord King Charles the Second
entitled an act for the better settling of Intestates Estates shall bind and appoint
And if it shall thereafter appear that any just Will and Testament was made by the
said deceased and the Executor or Executors of the afore named do exhibit the same into
the said court making Request to have it allowed and approved accordingly of the
said Betty Cresdee
above bounden being thereunto required do render and deliver the said Letters of
Administration approbation of such testament being first had and made in the
said Court then that Obligation to be void or else to remain in full force and virtue.


On the 22nd day of January 1838 appeared personally
Betty Cresdee of West Morden in the County of
Dorset Widow of Charles Kextone Cresdee late of the
same place yeoman intestate deceased and was
duly sworn well and faithfully to administer
the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased
and to exhibit the same unto the Registry of the
Court of the Archdeacon of Dorset and to pass
a just account thereon when thereto lawfully
required and further that the whole of the
goods chattels and credits of the said deceased
does not amount in value to the sum of
One Thousand five hundred pounds

24th December 1837
