Hi, I don't know if they are connected, but there were many Grays around the East Midlands/Lincolnshire/Cambridgeshire. Have a look at the thread on Thomas Gray

I'm not actively researching at the moment, but if you can get back another generation/find them in the census you might find this helps you. If you haven't got access to any subscription site, try 1881 census on the Family Search site and check to see if your local library has Ancestry for free (they don't often advertise the fact). But get their marriage certificate first. I hth, but if you already know all this stuff, please ignore!
