Marriage Record
« on: Tuesday 26 April 11 18:36 BST (UK) »
Hi I am desperately looking for a marriage record for my Greatgrand parents Alfred Lever and MARGARET M Stewart.I have been looking for well over 10 years without any luck. They were living in Pawtucket Providence Rhode Island in 1892.Before then it seems that Alfred Lever was living in Taftville Connecticut in around 1890-1891.They had a daughter born Agnes Meiklam Lever born Pawtucket Rhode Island  on 1st April 1893.Afer her birth it seems that they all returned to the United Kingdom around 1894.Is it possible that someone can help. Many Thanks Ted Wyatt

Hello Texaco,

There is a birth for Agnes Markham Lever 1 st April 1893 Pawtucket. Rhode Island but the parents listed are Arthur Lever and Margaret. (Could be a transcription error - its a cooincidence the other names are the same)  ???

http://www.rootschat.com/links/0cxj/

Nothing listed in marriages for Rhode Island.

http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#p=collectionDetails&c=fs%3A1675538

The Marriage Index for Connecticut runs form 1729 - 1867, so not quite the time frame you are looking for.

Regards
Sandra

Sorry Texaco, the entry that I viewed gave no further details on the Mother's maiden name.

Hi Texaco,

I know you have been looking for some 10 years now - there is a RAOGK Volunteer who says "I can check births, deaths, and marriages 1636-1930" - would this be worth an e-mail. The link is below if you wish to give it a try - first on the list - ALL counties.
