Hi
I know I'm a bit late to this chat, but I just found a connection to the Michael family and thought I'd add a small contribution - Marie Michael was my g-g-grandmother (b 1829), daughter of David Michael, married Henry Cooper Batchelor.

I discovered the connection when I found an inscription on some silver dishes - presented to William Henry Michael by the people of Swansea in 1861 in recognition of his services to the town.

I'd be interested to know more about the connection between William and David/Marie.
David

You're welcome. The Welshnewspaers search site is
https://newspapers.library.wales/

If you search for "David Michael" (include the "  " as part of search key), dates restricted to 1804 - 1853 you'll get 43 hits. Left hand corner allows "Search within ...." and try Swansea as a search key - returns 32 hits, Check out the 1851 death and 1829 marriage amongst others.
