Sandy.
Thanks for the reply.  I try to make sure my research is as accurate as possible.  I know that people spelled based on sound.  My wife's maternal grandparent's surname had 6 or 7 different spellings.
I don't load any information to Ancestry or other site that requires a fee based subscription and I have still had my information posted by those with whom I have shared even though I ask that they not.

Thanks
Bruce

Dear Mr. Sunrise,

It seems to me I've seen your name before!  Perhaps on trees that my great-great-grandfather Samuel Barratt is on.  I have info about Samuel and his children, one of whom, Joseph, is my great-grandfather.  He and his wife, Caroline (Boorman) emigrated to the U.S. in 1976.  They joined Joseph's brother Samuel in Carthage, Missouri, and stayed. Of course, there's more to the story, if  you want to hear it.  A couple of years ago, to his and my wonderment and joy, I "found" and met Samuel's grandson George Barratt, age 87 at that time.  He was thrilled; neither one of knew the other branch of the family existed.  He told me that before he got his hopes up, he wanted to be sure that we were a match.  He said was holding a picture of Joseph and his wife and their four daughters.  I told him that I had the same photo.  It was so wonderful, especially for Geoge!  Anyway, I'd be happy to tell you all I know and would love to know how you fit in.  Maybe we are already connected on ancestry.com.  I think I'll look and see!

Best wishes,

Mary Barratt
