Hello Jillian,

The latest Census is 1930 so it is more difficult trying to find information after that date.  There is the SSDI  http://ssdi.rootsweb.ancestry.com/

If you would like to give us some names and dates we can have a look for you  ;)

There might be something here that can help you - http://www.deathindexes.com/oregon/index.html  Getting a date of death for him might lead to an obituary that includes survivors.

Thanks for your replies. I have managed to find the death of William S Walton b 1884 but unfortunately can't find an obituary so no further information than his wife was Harriett, which I knew anyway!

Beatrice appears in City Directories:-  e.g in 1938

Sheldon F Sackett (Beatrice Walton), Publisher Coos Bay Times. h 525 Park Ave W, Tel 96 - R

Beatrice W Sackett (Mrs) ofc mfr Coos Bay Times

Beatrice married Sheldon 31 Dec 1931 in Oregon she was his second wife.  Sheldon had 2 more wives after the death of Beatrice in 1947. The couple could have had 2 children who may be still living. Sheldon died in 1968 - have found an Obituary for him which names a son.

Perhaps if you give us the information that you have on William & Harriet, we can find something for you.

Have we got the correct family ? You are looking for information on descendants post 1930 - so presume you have details prior to that.

Would brother Leo A Walton have married Frieda J A Koch about 1919. (Born 1891, his age at first marriage was 28 years) ?  Had 2 children by the 1930 Census - a son born in Virginia and Daughter in Ohio ?
