Do you think Michael I Denigan (age 14 in 1901 Longford census) is michael Josepeh denigan that went to the US ? I'm guessing an "I" could be an error for the "J" for Joseph?

The name has been mis-transcribed- if you look at the original page the middle initial is J not I.

Hi NZvixx,

Have tried to look for an explanation of "ralt" but cannot see anything.  Sometimes these some snippets have funny numbers or spellings in them so it may have no meaning at all.
Looks like the son John J died in Colorado 1 st May 1998
Burial: Fort Logan National Cemetery Denver Denver County Colorado, Plot: T2, 0, 936.

James Bernard born 7 th June 1925 Died James Denigan
August 1986 Last Residence: 53228  Milwaukee, Milwaukee, Wisconsin,  SSN issued: Illinois (Before 1951)

I think a son born after 1930 (have removed his name above)  may still be living in Illinois and also the daughter born 1928.  Have possible address for the son which I will send by pm - incase you wish to persue that line.

Regards
Sandra

Thank you
the other Denigan thread is indeed about the same Richard Denigan and I'm speaking to RachelRalph ( a newly found cousin!) about this too.
Just need to nail down which James Denigan is the father of our Richard Denigan and if it's the same family as Michael Joseph (Chicgo cop)

I found his death notice from the Chicago Tribune.  It does say ret. CPD.  It says his wife was the late Margaret V. Denigan, nee Dyer.  It mentions 6 of his children & their spouses by name, and says he was the grandfather of 29.  He was to be interred at St. Mary's Cemetery.  If you'd like me to e-mail it to you, send me your e-mail address in a private message.
