My link is Jane Hollinger (dau of Andrew H 1793 - 1871 of Carnlea) m William McGaw Kerr in 1853 she was my gg grandmother.
Would love any information on the Hollinger headstones as I have very little on Jane's side, thank you!

I am sure you will be interested to know that I still live in the townland of Carnlea although in a new dwelling. I do however know where Jane lived - less than half a mile from here. I will get details of the headstones for you as soon as possible.

Thank you.
Strangely their son Robert Kerr migrated to Scotland and married Mary Ann Forsythe (dau of William F and Agnes Moore b 1860) from Ballyeaston who was also working in Scotland. Robert and Mary Ann who married in 1887 are my g grandparents.

Am I correct in thinking that Jane's mother was a Jenny Strange? If so then one of her brothers, Robert who inherited the farm when Andrew died in 1871 was my gg grandfather. We may therefore have some common genes!!

I have no indication of who Jane's mother was.
I believe Jane was born before 1831 (full age per marriage cert 1853) a daughter of Andrew and his first wife? That Andrew married Janet [Jenny]Strange on 19 December 1838.
Robert b 1836 would have been Jane's brother if that second marriage is correct.

Also of note perhaps [if I have the relationships correct] is your gg grandfather Robert married Margaret Forsythe in 1867? If that is so, there may be an even closer relationship as my Robert Kerr [son of Jane H] also married a Forsythe from Ballyeaston.
I'm now wondering if there is a relationship between said Margaret Forsythe and my Mary Ann Forsythe? Are there any middle names used in the family which stand out?

Yes indeed. Although I have not fully researched my history this is from one of the gravestones in 2nd Ballyeaston Churchyard:
Erected by John Hollinger in memory of his mother Margaret who died 20th Oct 1923 aged 81 years Also his father robert Hollinger who died 28th March 1927 aged 91 years also his sister Mary who died 2nd Dec 1944 The above John Hollinger died 13th August 1965 aged 94 years.
I note you already have the wording of a second headstone

Thanks for that.
If John [son of Robert] is your g grandfather then by my reckoning he and I were half 1st cousin 3 times removed.
It might be of interest to you that Mary Hollinger is the second Mary in that family group. The earlier Mary born 18 June 1868 died before the second Mary was named/born in 1872.
Andrew and his first wife had 7 children
Thomas circa 1820 married Elizabeth Elwood
Margaret circa 1824 married Thomas Magee [possibly the oath giver to Andrew's will?]
John circa 1827 married Anne Jane Wilson [John died the same year as his father]
Jane bef 1831 married William McGaw Kerr
James circa 1835 married Mary Maybin
Robert circa 1836 married Margaret Forsythe
William circa 1836 married Jane Strange
I suspect Thomas emigrated as there is only one birth recorded to the couple.
