Qeubec Vital & Chruch Records (Drouin Collection) 1621-1967
« on: Monday 18 April 11 15:47 BST (UK) »
Wondering if there is anyone out there who might have access to the above subject and would be good enough to help me.

I am looking for the year and city in Quebec where the following were married.  I am also looking for where they were born.

JOHN CHARLES MARSHALL (born c 1774) &
MARY HOLAHAN or HOOLIHAN (born c. 1782- this marriage would have taken place somewhere between 1798-1805

Thank you in advance for any help.

Hello there.

How certain are you of your dates?

I found the following marriage. Translated from the French ...

John Charles Marshall Horloger (Watchmaker, I think)
Son of major age of the deceased Richard Marshall and Elizabeth Griffith of Brighton England
to
Mary Holohan
Daur of major age of Richard Holohan (deceased) and Margaret Holohan
26 Nov 1874 at Basilica Notre-Dame, Montreal, Quebec Province, Canada

Does this look like your couple?

John's parents being from Brighton suggests you should look in England for his birth. There is no mention of where Mary might be from but I'll have a look in the Drouin Collection for a baptism in a bit if you could confirm this is the correct pair.
