Hi
I am looking for the death of a John Todd, who lived in Drumiscal, he married a Sophia Black in 1868,and they had a daughter Sophia Elizabeth born 1869, Sophia died in 1869 and he remarried Mary Jane Magee. I think he may have died about 1911

Have you found John in 1901 census yet? if so, where was he living. Have you found any trace of him or family in 1911 census? I can't find any trace of a townland called Drumiscal in Co. Antrim. in either census or SeanRuad's website.

The civil registration index is online (free) and goes up to 1921 for Northern Ireland counties-

LDS website www.familysearch.org lists birth of Sophia Todd born 9 Oct.1869 Co.Armagh- parents John Todd & Sophis Black.

John Todd, son of Daniel Todd, married 28 Oct.1868 Dunseverick, Co.Antrim to Sophia Black, daughter of Loughlin.

If that is your John Todd in 1901 census he's still in the same townland in 1911-
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Antrim/Prolusk/Drumnagee/113803

Both these entries are in Drumnagee- where is "Drumiscal" you mentioned in original post?

PRONI has this listed under Will Extracts- "Probate of the Will of Archibald Todd late of Drumnagee Bushmills County Antrim Farmer who died 18 October 1900 granted at Belfast to Charles Todd Farmer." Will mentions son Charles and several daughteras as well as a grandson.

My 3x Great Grandmother was Rachel Todd of ballyallaght in Dunseverick, born c1820's. Her father was Daniel Todd, an agricultural labourer.

Rachel married John McFall of Carnkirk, parish of Billy. Marriage took place in 1850 in parish of Billy, County Antrim.

Have you come across any Rachel's in your family?
