If this is the correct Charles he was tried at Bolton Borough sessions Lancashire,
25 Th October 1839,
charged with Larceny,
and sentenced to transportation for ten years,
age 23,
on the prison ship Fortitude ,30 th of November 1839,Chatham,he could read and write
Samuel was tried at Chester ,
and sentanced to 7 1/2 years transportation,he was 18,
again larceny was the crime,
5th of August 1839,
A Samuel was sentanced to a year in prison in 1837 in Lancashire,so the two could be the same person,
I cannot find a baptism for either with the parents you have given ,
but I am sure someone will have a look today
