Ernest Hope Feather *completed*

I am trying to trace ancestors of Ernest Hope Feather, b 1897 Birmingham.
He appears in the 1901 Census showing father Ernest Edward Feather age 30 b 1870 and mother Mary Feather age 59 bc 1842

Also eldest son shown is Frank MC Feather b 1887, suggesting father was only 17 when he married Mary aged 45 

Census shows three other children with parents  Ernest Edward and Mary between 1889 and 1892.

I cannot find a marriage for Ernest Edward, so wonder how accurate details in Census are.  Is it possible to check details for birth of Ernest Hope - or marriage of Ernest Edward 

Any other details re this family would be welcome.

PS her age on original looks more like 39 on the 1901.

As can be seen on the 1901 all the children bar Ernest have C as last middle name, Charley perhaps?

So Ernest Edward married an older widow with 4 children.

Hi there,  I am one of Ernest Hope Feather's Granddaughters.  He came to NZ in the early 1930s with his wife Freda.  He was a school teacher and taught at schools in Gisborne, Rotorua and Auckland.  He had three children, Mike, Cynthia and John.  He died in 1983.

I am curious as to why you are searching for him?
