Cabot Family, Jersey

Hi,

I am looking for any information on the CABOT family from Jersey.

My 8x great grandparents were JOSUE MARET ( born c1620 Trinity, Jersey, died c1685 ) married  c1675
CATHERINE CABOT ( born c1639 Trinity, Jersey, died c1690 ).

I have her parents as JEAN CABOT & MARIE LE SUEUR, but am not sure if this information is correct,
if it is I can trace the lines back a lot further.

So any information, help or advice would be most welcome.

Hi John

I can't help you specifically at the moment but I am aware that a "Mr Cabot" recently gave a presentation at the Société Jersiaise on  the Cabot family and their American connections. I will try to find out a little more about this.

However have a look at:

Hello John, I am not sure if there is any connection but I have some information as to a Rachel Cabot who married a Francois Gatain??circa 1800???? they had sons and daughters ,one of whom is believed to be a Mary or Marie La Source?? I know the spelling is different but there may be some connection?
