« Reply #108 on: Saturday 11 November 06 18:16 GMT (UK) »
Ann O'Neill married James Bowden probably just before 1830 in one of the villages north of Drogheda but south of Dunleer. I can't find a record of their marriage. Can you help please?

Thanks,
Simon

The library in Dundalk has very good records of families in the Louth region. A friend of mine got lots of info from them.  You could try them.  They will require a small fee.  I don't know the address but you could try googling for it.

Hi Catherine
I know you must be very busy but I have hit a brick wall with my Irish ancestors And I was hoping you may be able to help me .my Gt Gt Grandparents were born in Ireland but I don’t know where all I know is that they were living in Londonderry between 1826 and 1832 as they had three children born in Londonderry betweern these dates they are as below

Gt Gt Grandfather William Mundell born 1791  Ireland
Gt Gt Grandmother Ann Mundell nee Wallace born  1805 Ireland

Children
Elizabeth born Londonderry 1826
William   born Londonderry 1831
James       Born Londonderry 1832
Sometime between 1832 and 1838 they all moved to Glasgow as there fourth child John was born in Glasgow in 1838.

William married a Londonderry Girl Henrietta Church but they were married in Glasgow.
James Married a Mary Lyon who was born in Falkirk Scotland
John married a Margaret Findlay who was born in Glasgow

That is all the information I have so I would be very grateful for any information

Bill

Hi Catherine

Thanks for your kind offer.  Could you see if you have anything on the names of Pollard, Quigley, Brady, Murphy, Conboy & Staford early 1800's on-wards all found to be living in Dublin County and Dublin City

The earliest Pollard I have is  Thomas Pollard who married Mary Quigly and  lived in Bolton St. Dublin City. Known children Mary Anne, 1864: Mary Bridget 1866: Joseph c.1866:  Thomas Richard 1867: William Francis 1867: Michael Stephen 1871.

Daniel Brady born c.1810 married Marie Murphy his father's name is  Bartholomew.  His son Michael Brady (married Bridget Conboy) is my gt grandfather born c1856 probably in Co. Dublin.  Daniel and Michael were gardeners.

Thanks again.  Teresa
