Imison,

Anne Bowden married Joseph Frith on 21 March 1847 at St Peter's in Dublin. Her father was James Bowden, farmer. Anne and Joseph had their first child Samuel Patrick Frith in Sheffield, England in 1848. Anne Bowden was supposed to have been born in Drogheda, Co Louth in about 1830 - although I have never found a record of her birth.

Do you have anything on a Susan McCusker, born somewhere in Dublin, please? - born about 1856. Her father was John and her mother Susan.

Also, please do you have anything on an Elizabeth McCusker, born in Brookborough, Fermanagh, about 1854, same parents?

They had a brother, William, whose birth certificate I have - he was born in 1865 in Lissavally, Killerin, Tuam, Galway.

Thank you.

Joy

Hi Catherine, have you any info on this family?

John Rooney born 6 Nov 1871, Kiltegan, Baltinglass, Co. Wicklow, parents Patrick Rooney & Sarah Murphy.  I don't know any more about his parents, but John joined the Royal Irish Fusiliers in 1891, then transferred to 2nd Battalion of The Essex and fought the Boer War with them.

Around 1910 John met my gran Catherine Crowe, in Dublin & after a couple of children they moved to Belfast in 1913.  John was still in the Army but I don't know which regiment.  Many thanks for your time.  regards, TonyR.
