headstone photographs
« on: Tuesday 12 April 11 18:27 BST (UK) »
Hi

I would be really really grateful if anyone was able to photograph two headstones in Elgin New Cemetery- Jessie Macrae (fowler)  Ref Ne (E) 32B and Daniel Skinner and his family Ref NE 33- we live so far away we visited Inverness recently but only just found out that Jessie was buried in Elgin.

Hope someone is able to help

Andy,

I'm on holiday from Friday for over 2 weeks and intend to spend at least one of my days through Elgin way and need to find a few of my own in the New Cemetery, as well as the cathedral (just as well I've got a very understanding other half who doesn't mind spending his holidays trawling graveyards!  ;D).......I will have a look for you.

Hi Lynn

Once again i am very grateful to you your last reply re Jessie Fowler Macrae gave me a website that has enabled me to find Marian her daughter who married Daniel Skinner and their two sons also buried there. My mum is 86 and met her great aunt Marian she is thrilled to have some information as she had lost contact!! It was wandering graveyards with my wife that got me interested in family history- great life!!

Happy hunting  :D
