Hello,

I am Amanda and I am the great, great grand daughter of William Denny born in 1862.  William Denny's son Henry or Harry Denny arrived to Ellis Island in New York in 1924 and he married a woman named Mary. They had two sons, one named Edward Denny and another named Harry, and a daughter named Veronica. My grandfather is Edward Denny who married Frances Huesel in New York. They had 5 children, Deborah Denny(Kinsler), Denise Denny(Taylor), Edward Denny, Kevin Denny and John Denny. I am the daughter of Denise Denny (Taylor). I would like to know more information on the Denny family tree!

Hamilton st was a street of shops ,boarding houses & distillerys..the Denny's owned a grocery shop and distillery at this time and later a pub/bar..my brother inlaw told me once that (i think it was his granny)his granny left Belfast with some of the children and lived in the states for years leaving some of the children behind..he is off line for a while but will get back to you on that.

Hello,

I am so sorry it has taken so long for me to respond. For some reason the site will not allow me to respond to the PM. My uncle John Denny who is the grand child of Henry Denny said that this is our family! My aunt Ronny (Veronica) and uncle Harry who are the grand children of Henry actually went to Belfast to visit the pub and was actually able to go into the apartment because it was for rent at the time. I am pretty sure they talked with Father Aiden (I hope I am spelling this right) who I think was there great uncle. I would love any extra information you may have! I really wish we had photos. I find it interesting that you said that some children were left behind. Was this Henry's children? I get a little confused by the names sometimes. LOL I know that even though we live in the U.S. that the names of my aunts and uncles are a direct reflection of names in the history(John Denny, Keven Denny, Edward Denny, Francis Denny). I appreciate you getting in touch with me!

You need to have 3 posts to use Personal Message system (it's explained in the Help pages)- just post a short reply to this thread again and then try to use PM.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Thank you for the prompt reply? Do you have a source record for William's birth by any chance? I think I am mixing up my Dennys :-) Or a list of his siblings?
