Does any one have information on Caroline Darvel (could be Darvill, Darvil etc..) in Bombay circa 1850....

Caroline married Robert Clive Charles Smith in Bombay 1856.

Children Frances Mary Anne Smith, Ellen Mary Smith, Robert Flower Smith, May Caroline Smith (Howden/Howlden) and Amy Smith.

Frances Mary Anne Smith married Edward Cecil Roberts (Bombay 28 March 1881).

Caroline's father is given as James Darvel on the records.

 The nearest I can find to a birth is Caroline Darville christened 4 Nov 1827 at Oakley, Buckingham, England - parents James and Mary Darville. This would have made Caroline approx 29 at the time of marriage.

As this is only a possibility for her birth you would need to search out more info on her father to see if it fits. Unfortunately, James Darvel seems to be quite a common name on the FamilySearch site.
