Hi,
I am trying to find the location of Catherine Street in Bishopwearmouth in the 1870s. It was near Church Street, Aylmer Street and Australia Street, none of which I can find on the modern maps. If anyone knows its location I would be very grateful.

Go to   http://gis.durham.gov.uk/website/interMAP/viewer.htm and put the coords    438290, 557625 in to search, this will centre the map on the location of Catherine Street, Deptford, which you can see on the earlier maps. It is actually Catherine Street North.  There is a Catherine Street West, Millfield, at 438444, 556954.
