Hi

I have an Eliza Grenyer in my tree who became Eliza Bashford, then Eliza Paskins. If you have any info on her to share that would be most appreciated.

Dear Pinkshoes,
Thank you for the query. unfortunately you have hit one of the few remaining roadblocks in the Grinyer/Grenyer/Greenyer family.  As far as we are aware there is no recorded birth or baptism of a suitable Eliza Grinyer who could have married James Bashford in Broadwater in 1816. Even the names of the marriage witnesses do not help.  However a Frances Greenyer married a Josias Bashford within a few miles in 1822.  Although there seems to be no baptism record for her, it is possible that Eliza and Frances were related in which case we can trace Eliza's family back to early 1500's

regards

Phil

Dear Roy G,
Thank you for the information. Do you happen to know which church they married in or was it a registry office wedding?

thanks
