Hi Can anyone help me to read this Death Entry?
Specifically it's the entry below the date of death; The cause of death (I see it say's accidently
) and also the entry below the fathers name in the informant column?
Thanks

It's certainly not easy, but I think the cause starts off as - Accidentally on a cliff 200 feet high overhanging the sea which ..........
Father was - Present at finding and bringing the body ashore
Certainly open to correction on this.

Had a look at the online newspapers, and there is this in Berrows Worcester Journal, Saturday May 30, 1885. Strangely, I could find nothing in the Scottish newspapers.
Sounds like your boy, poor little chap.

I think this is what it says:
May twenty fourth between 0h and 3h P.M.
In the sea off(?) Mains of Dundeath under __ ___
Usual Residence Mains of Dunbeath, Parish of ___
Accidental fall from cliff 200 feet high overhanging the sea(?) while in search of sea bird eggs.Instantaneous.
Peter Allan, Father. Present at finding and bringing the body ____
Mains of Dunbeath
Have you looked at the entry in the Reg. of Corrected entries?

Thank you all for your help
Especially for the newspaper clipping. There is no registerri of corrected entry, well not online anyway although there's a note in the far left column it doesn't reference an RCE.
I will try to get it sent to me I guess there must have been an inquest.
Thanks again
