I see by 1871 census that King George Eastwood was born in Meltham, Yorkshire, he was aged 30 and he was an overlooker. Susannah was head of household on 1881 census. Her marital status was married. This suggests to me either that she was separated from her husband or that he lived away for long periods, perhaps because of his work.
British people went to Russia in 19th century in connection with the textile industry. King George Eastwood had a supervisory position by 1871 when he was still a young man, so may have been the type of person who was sent abroad to help set up factories and train & oversee the workforce.
