Thanks Dawn,

But that costs.  It costs enough for ancestry.com as it is.

Hi Michael

Dawn is answering your last question

'Which particular parish in Westminster do you have access to?' as Tony has told you he has access to Westminster Archives. Dawn has given you the list of parish registers that are held at Westminster Archives. Visitors to Westminster Archives have access to all of these parish registers. The parishes of Westminster are close together and people moved addresses regularly in London. St Clement Dane and St Margaret Westminster are not adjacent parishes.

hello michael,

guess you thought i had forgotten all about your quest, sorry, it takes time to track things down.

good news, i have located two of the people, susannah and julia.

the other two i will have to extend the parameters to perhaps 10 years either way, some of the scans are difficult to read and there are times when other seekers are using the reels i need so it is a slow process.

i have copies of the scans and they are not brilliant so i shall give you what i can read and send you the scans tomorrow.

susannah born 27 dec 1831 to george & mary. george is a button maker. can't make out the "address"

julia born18 august 1839, address 6 princes st, george is a musical instrument maker.

princes st is in the west end of london (oxford street area).

i will get back to you in due course, don't lose heart if you don' hear from me for a while. i'm still looking.

hi michael,

i have come across george henry pearce in 1844 in the st james register, nothing else is legible.

st james and st margarets are "twin" parish's

a lot of the scans are indistinct so i may have missed him in st margarets.

hang in there as they say (someone somewhere)
