The Necropolis is now, as Susie says, Grant Gardens and opposite Brougham Terrace which used to be the main Register Office for Liverpool. It was a very popular place for wedding parties to have the photographs taken after the ceremony, I often wondered if they knew what used to be beneath their feet.
I believe some of the inscriptions are listed on the Gibsons Epitaphs, these are held at the Record Office and have also been transcribed onto CD, a copy of which can be obtained from the Liverpool & SW Lancashire FHS - their online shop is available
