I will try to get both Charles and Margaret’s Death Certificates to confirm/deny what Bernadette has already found for their births and parentages in Collessie and Criech c. 1800.
Unless you want to share the seeking Norrie?

Thank you so much Norrie and John for the research that you have done.  I am happy that I found this venue and your kindly assistance.

Well, that is unfortunate that Alexander died so young.  Now, I will try to focus on another Alexander Geddes born during the same time period.

Thank you again,
Bernadette

Good lateral thinking Norrie .... I couldn't get my pre-1855 Fife CD-ROM to start ... but you have now cleared the air somewhat.
Cheers

Aye
DDJJAKE

Thank you so much DDJJAKE for your diligence and time in making this discovery. My sisters and I were talking about the Geddes family in Baltimore over the weekend but did not know that Alexander Geddes was listed as a "plumber" on the 1850 census and therefore discounted it. That was a wonderful discovery on your part!  I will be very busy today updating the family tree on ancestry.com with all of this information.

Again, wonderful information from my friend across the globe :)
