NZ BMD Access Restrictions
« on: Wednesday 30 March 11 17:55 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I gather there are access restrictions to the NZ BMD records. Does anyone know what the rules are?

Regards,

Barry

Hi
the difference between historical and non historical records are here
https://www.bdmonline.dia.govt.nz/
the links will explain how you can order non-historical records

Hi Althea,

Thanks for your response. I had a look at the NZ web site and as the info I require falls within the last 100 years I think I'll give NZ the miss.

Regards,

Barry

Hi Barry
is it births or marriages

we can look at marriages to 1956, they are on CD by NZSG, but you would need to pm the name as we can't put the info on the board.

There are fiche with BMD on that can be looked at, libraries in NZ and many overseas have these in their family history sections

It is no problem getting non-historical records, you just need to complete the registration process.
Bye
