PEARCE - Boldre
« on: Sunday 27 March 11 09:12 BST (UK) »
 :)
My greatgrandmother was Ann Pearce b. 1838 Daughter of Edward Pearce b.1806 and Charlotte Pearce nee Stoat b.1806 at Boldre. I believe his father was an Edward Pearce b. 1785 at Boldre , his grandfather Thomas Pearce.
In the Beaulieu Marriage Records for the parish of Boldre there is quoted a Thomas  Wes(r?)tbrook Pearce marying a Elizabeth Falis on 24th. July 1766. Is this is the same person?

Kimbrey,
Thanks for your swift response, I guess its back to the drawing board as dates don't match with Edward Pearce and Charlotte Pearce nee Stoat.

There were 2 Edward and Charlotte PEARCE's !!

Edward and Charlotte (nee STOAT) married in 1822 the other Edward and Charlotte(nee HASKELL) married in 1833 at Mottisfont and seem to have had all their children baptised there.

That leaves "your" Edward and Charlotte.whose children may have been confused about where they were born ?!

03 Oct 1824-William Peerless     at Boldre
16 Sept 1827-George    at Boldre
06 Jun 1830-Walter       at Boldre
07 Oct 1832-Mark          at Boldre  of Lymington
07 Sep 1824-Henry       at Boldre   of Pennington Common
20 Aug 1837-Ann          at Milford
29 Nov 1840-John         at Pennington

There may be more-the index I have stops at 1841.

Your years of birth are taken from the 1841 and they are rounded down - in 1851 Edward is marked as born in 1802 in Brockenhurst which makes him the baptism on 18 Jan 1801 the son of William and Amelia Pearce.
